This large provision for primary aged learners with speech, language and communication needs is looking for a dedicated and engaging person to join them in September as a teaching assistant. The base is part of a thriving mainstream secondary school in a lovely part of South West London with excellent transport facilities and a well organised and knowledgeable team.
Your day to day responsibilities will include:
- Providing high quality care, support, and creative learning opportunities within a nurturing environment
- Assiisting the class teacher in day to day classroom routines and preparation
- Taking responsibility for the organisation,safety and welfare of the children you work with
The ideal candidate will have:
- GCSE English and Maths
- Experience of working in an inclusive environment
- Willingness to learn new ways of supporting children with Autism and Communication Needs
Training and support will be given on the job and there is real potential for career progressiion for the right candidate.
Interviews will be taking place in June and July for this long-term, full time role which starts in September and will continue throughout the academic year. There will be opportunities to apply for a permanent position in due course for the right person.
