We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant & Administrator to join an Alternative Provision in Sandwell. This is a full-time hybrid role to start ASAP that combines supporting pupils in the classroom with key administrative and reception duties.
The Role
You will:
Provide in-class support to students, particularly those with SEMH needs and behavioural challenges.
Build positive relationships and encourage engagement in learning.
Assist with classroom management and behaviour support strategies.
Manage reception duties, being the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and professionals.
Carry out general administrative tasks, including data entry, record-keeping, and use of Microsoft Office packages.
About You:
Experience supporting students with SEMH / behavioural difficulties is highly desirable.
Previous work in an Alternative Provision or similar setting is an advantage.
Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other admin systems.
Experience working on reception, handling calls, and liaising with visitors is essential.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to balance both classroom and office responsibilities.
A calm, resilient, and positive attitude when supporting challenging behaviour.
