1:1 Year 5 Teaching Assistant - Kensington and Chelsea

A well-respected primary school in Kensington and Chelsea is looking for a reliable and proactive Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a bright and capable Year 5 pupil with emotional regulation needs. This full-time role will focus on building a strong, consistent relationship that supports the child both emotionally and academically-particularly in stretching their learning to a high level.

The position is expected to continue into Year 6 from September, offering long-term consistency and a real opportunity to make a lasting impact.

• Be confident in managing behaviour through positive relationships and emotional understanding

• Be academically strong and able to support high-level learning, especially in English and Maths

• Bring patience, structure, and a calm presence to help the pupil thrive day to day

• Ideally have experience working with pupils who have additional emotional or SEN needs

• Be committed to staying on into Year 6 to provide consistency

• Experience in a similar TA or 1:1 role, preferably in KS2

• A good grasp of the KS2 curriculum

• Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one

• Professional references and (if applicable) overseas police checks
