SEN Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for a Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated and supportive team at a Special Educational Needs (SEN) School located in Swadlincote. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a rewarding environment, working closely with students who require additional support to thrive in their learning.

Position Details:

• Role: Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant
• Location: Swadlincote
• Full-time position
• Daily Rate: £85 - £115 per day (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students with a range of special educational needs, including learning disabilities and other additional learning requirements.
• Assist in creating and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
• Work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure that the individual needs of students are met.
• Provide emotional and behavioural support to students, ensuring their well-being and academic progress.
• Help with classroom activities, ensuring that students remain engaged and motivated.
• Assist with any personal care needs, where appropriate.

Key Requirements:

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is essential.
• Previous experience working with students with special educational needs is preferred but not essential.
• A passion for working with children and helping them achieve their full potential.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• Patience, empathy, and resilience to work with children who may have complex needs.
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure is required for this role (can be obtained through Tradewind Recruitment if necessary).
