Horizon Teachers are in partnership with a large four-form entry primary school in the London borough of Newham. The school are seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to support their students across EYFS - KS1. The role will consist of working with students with special educational needs and supporting them to access the curriculum, whilst promoting engagement.
Key responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one SEN support in the classroom promoting engagement and providing key interventions to students with delayed learning
Support the learning of the National Curriculum subjects whilst teaching pupils about global diversity, sustainability and enterprise
To assist teaching staff to plan and prepare lessons and resources within the school curriculum
To prepare and support the delivery of interventions for therapy staff
To produce and maintain up-to-date pupils' profile and behaviour plans
To follow school procedures in reporting incidents and safeguarding concerns
To participate in supervision and support as required
Provide continuous commitment to safeguarding all students' safety and welfare
