Role: SEN Teaching Assistant

Pay rate: Up to £650 per week

Start date: September 2025

Horizon Teachers are in partnership with a large four-form entry primary school in the London borough of Newham. The school are seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to support their students across EYFS - KS1.
The role will consist of working with students with special educational needs and supporting them to access the curriculum, whilst promoting engagement.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one SEN support in the classroom promoting engagement and providing key interventions to students with delayed learning
• Support the learning of the National Curriculum subjects whilst teaching pupils about global diversity, sustainability and enterprise
• To assist teaching staff to plan and prepare lessons and resources within the school curriculum
• To prepare and support the delivery of interventions for therapy staff
• To produce and maintain up-to-date pupils' profile and behaviour plans
• To follow school procedures in reporting incidents and safeguarding concerns
• To participate in supervision and support as required
• Provide continuous commitment to safeguarding all students' safety and welfare
