Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant – EYFS

Location: Doncaster (School name withheld for confidentiality)

Start Date: September 2025

Hours: 27 hours per week (term time only)

Pay: £13.68 – £14.50 per hour (dependent on experience)

A friendly and inclusive primary school in Doncaster is seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years Foundation Stage team this September. The school has a well-established EYFS team and a supportive leadership structure that values the contributions of all staff members.

You will be working one-to-one with a child who has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), supporting their transition into EYFS and helping them access learning and development opportunities tailored to their needs.

• Proven experience supporting children with additional needs.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood development.
• Familiarity with Read, Write, Inc. phonics (desirable).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting young learners.
