Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a welcoming mainstream primary school in the borough of Hillingdon, seeking an energetic and committed SEND Teaching Assistant to join their Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP). This specialist setting supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD and speech, language and communication difficulties, who benefit from extra support within a mainstream school environment.

About the Role:

As a SEND Teaching Assistant in the ARP, you will play a vital role in helping pupils to access learning, develop their confidence, and make meaningful progress - both academically and socially. The ideal candidate will be proactive, enthusiastic, and have a positive, engaging personality that helps to build strong relationships with pupils, staff and families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils within the ARP and occasionally in the mainstream classroom

  • Assist in delivering differentiated activities that meet individual learning and EHCP targets

The Ideal Candidate Will:
  • Have experience supporting children with SEND - particularly ASD, ADHD or speech and language needs

  • Be naturally proactive, adaptable, and able to use initiative in a fast-paced environment

  • Be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Have a calm, caring and enthusiastic approach to working with children

  • Be reliable, patient, and committed to making a difference in children's lives

Why Work with Tradewind Recruitment?
  • We pay all staff PAYE only - no umbrella companies

  • Access to The National College for free CPD and accredited training

  • All consultants are Safeguarding trained and highly experienced in SEND recruitment

  • Supportive, honest service from a dedicated consultant who understands your needs

If you're passionate about supporting children with additional needs and want to be part of a nurturing school environment where every day brings variety and reward, we would love to hear from you.
