Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Salary: £90 - £100 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Term Time Only - temp to perm options available
Start Date: September 2025

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Kettering.

About the Role:
As an SEN TA, you will be working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support pupils with a range of additional needs in a mainstream setting, including autism (ASC), ADHD and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges. You will help deliver tailored interventions and provide 1:1 or small group support to ensure every child can access the curriculum and thrive.

Key Responsibilities:
-Supporting pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
-Adapting learning resources and strategies to meet individual needs
-Working collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals
-Promoting independence, confidence, and inclusion
-Providing emotional and behavioural support when required

Requirements:
-Previous experience working with children with SEN (school, nursery, care, or youth work background considered)
-A calm, patient and empathetic nature
-Excellent communication and teamwork skills
-A genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs
-Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
