Job Opportunity: SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support) – Full Time

Role Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

Reed education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school community in Peterborough. This is a full-time role supporting a Year 3 pupil with autism on a 1:1 basis, starting in September 2025.

• Provide 1:1 behavioural and learning support inside and outside the classroom.
• Assist the pupil with reading, writing, and completing schoolwork set by the class teacher.
• Offer support during breaktimes, promoting positive social interactions and emotional wellbeing.
• Work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to implement tailored strategies and interventions.

• Experience working with KS1 or KS2 pupils in an educational setting.
• Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum.
• Solid knowledge of Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly autism.
• A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
