A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Cambridge is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a nurturing learning environment and help children thrive both academically and personally. You’ll work closely with pupils who require additional emotional and behavioural support, helping them engage positively with their learning. The role involves working 1:1 and in small groups, supporting classroom activities, and promoting a safe and encouraging atmosphere.

• Provide tailored support to children with SEMH needs
• Assist in delivering personalised learning plans
• Help manage behaviour using positive strategies
• Foster inclusion and engagement in classroom activities
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals

• Experience working with children, especially those with SEMH or SEN needs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Calm, patient, and empathetic approach
• Passion for supporting young learners
• Availability full-time during term time
• DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
