One-to-One SEN Teaching Assistant - Lancaster
Full-Time - Term Time Only, Monday-Friday, 08:45-15:15

Veritas Education is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate One-to-One SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in Key Stage 1 with an EHCP for non-verbal autism, based in a welcoming primary school in Lancaster.

• Providing 1:1 support to a KS1 pupil with non-verbal autism

• Supporting communication, engagement, and emotional regulation

• Implementing strategies in line with the pupil's EHCP

• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO

• Creating a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment

• Monday to Friday

• 08:30 - 15:30

• Term Time Only

• Experience supporting children with autism (ideally non-verbal)

• A calm, patient, and nurturing approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Experience using communication tools like Makaton is desirable but not essential

• Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support are advantageous

• Experienced TAs, SEN specialists, or those with a background in care or youth work looking to transition into education.
