SEN Teaching Assistant L19

Hays are one of the largest education agencies in the Liverpool area. We work with over 65% schools in the area. We are working in partnership with schools in the L19 area who are recruiting for a KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant for September cover.

Your new role

A school in the Liverpool area requires a Year 3 SEND Teaching Assistant. Duties will include:

• Supporting a pupil in Year 3 with SEND needs on a 1:1 basis
• The majority of your time will be spent working on a one to one basis
• Support the class teacher in the classroom, prepare resources and teaching materials and ensure that the children in the class have access to the curriculum
• Work closely with the classroom teacher to report on pupil progress

What you'll need to succeed

• Have at least six months experience working with children in an education setting, particularly with the KS2 age range
• Excellent communication skills
• Sound knowledge of KS2 Curriculum
• Managing challenging behaviour is essential for this role
