A fantastic, high-achieving Primary School in the Borough of Lewisham are seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant - Unqualified to join their team ASAP to support students until at least the end of the academic year in July 2025. This is a Long-Term and Full-Time position.

An excellent team of Teaching Staff and Graduate Teaching Assistants deliver a bespoke curriculum designed provide children with all the knowledge that they need, utilising specialist facilities to provide individualised support.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant - Unqualified, you will be responsible for working alongside experienced Teaching Staff to deliver subject material and work directly with students in and out of the classroom. A large portion of this role includes supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis, with a focus on working with SEND pupils. Previous experience working with SEND/SEMH needs is highly desirable.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• SEN Teaching Assistant - Unqualified
• Working with students across Reception - Year 6 in and out of lessons
• Supporting Class Teachers to deliver lesson material
• Assisting students with working towards their learning targets in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
• Providing additional help to pupils with SEND/SEMH needs

ROLE DETAILS

• Based in a wonderful Primary School in Lewisham
• Monday - Friday, Long-Term and Full-Time role
• 8.30am - 4pm, Term-Time only
• £105 - £110 per day
• ASAP Start!

CANDIDATE DETAILS

• A 2:1 or 1st Class Degree from a reputable University and strong academics across the board
• Previous child-based experience and a keen interest in working with SEND
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A desire to pursue a career working with children and young people
