SEN Teaching Assistant - Year 6 in Lewisham

Are you ready to make a real difference in a child's final year of primary school? A vibrant and inclusive school in Lewisham is looking for a Year 6 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a pupil 1:1 as they prepare for the transition to secondary school.

About the Role

You'll be working closely with a Year 6 pupil who requires additional support to access learning and build confidence.

Your role will involve:

• Providing tailored 1:1 support in class and during interventions.
• Helping the pupil develop socially, emotionally, and academically.
• Collaborating with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals.
• Supporting the pupil's transition to secondary school with care and consistency.
  
  

We're seeking someone who is:

• Experienced in supporting children with SEN, ideally in KS2.
• Calm, patient, and adaptable in their approach.
• A strong communicator and team player.
• Committed to inclusion and child-centred support.
• DBS-checked (or willing to apply).
