Greater Manchester | September Start | Full-Time & Part-Time Roles Available

We are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants of all levels for September 2025, with opportunities available in both mainstream and specialist settings. Whether you're an experienced SEN TA or looking to begin your career in education, we have a role to suit your skills and aspirations. We have roles available in primary, secondary, and all-through schools, with both long-term and permanent opportunities.


Your New Job

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support students with a range of additional needs including autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health), speech and language difficulties, and complex learning needs. Your role may involve:

  • Providing 1:1 or small group support
  • Assisting with personal care (where required)
  • Supporting behaviour management and emotional regulation
  • Helping to deliver tailored learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher or SENCO
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (in school, care, or youth settings)
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
  • Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
