SEN Teaching Assitant

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one support to a child with Autism, promoting engagement and learning.
• Implement strategies to encourage social interaction, confidence, and communication.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to follow individualised support plans.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff and parents.

Requirements:

• Experience working with children with Autism or other special educational needs.
• Understanding of Autism-specific strategies and behaviour management techniques.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
• A valid Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
