We're looking for a compassionate and committed SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a specialist school setting in Wakefield (WF2). Working full time, 8:45am-3:15pm, Monday to Friday, you'll play a key role in helping pupils access learning and build confidence.

Your Role:

• Provide tailored 1:1 and group support for pupils with additional needs

• Implement strategies for learning, communication, and emotional regulation

• Support with personal care and mobility, including moving and handling

• Communicate clearly and positively with pupils, staff, and families

• Promote independence, inclusion, and positive behaviour

What You'll Need:

• Experience in specialist SEND environments is essential

• Moving and handling training preferred

• Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication

• Resilience, patience, and an empathetic mindset

• DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
