SEND Teaching Assistant

• Salary: £90-£100 (dependent on experience and qualifications) plus SEN allowance

Reed Education are proud to present this exciting opportunity to work as a Teaching Assistant at a highly regarded primary SEND provision in Leeds, West Yorkshire. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a real difference to the lives of young people with complex SEND needs.

• Work closely with teachers to embed a personalised learning experience for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
• Provide one-to-one or small group support to children who need additional help.
• Assist in the preparation of learning materials and classroom activities.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
• Support pupils' social and emotional development alongside their academic progress.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive interactions.
• Support with routine administrative tasks to aid smooth classroom operations.

The school is rated 'Good' in their most recent OFSTED report. It is a specialist school with multiple provision which cater for pupils aged 2 to 19 with a range of complex SEND, including:

• Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
• Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)

• Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)
• Physical and Sensory Needs

• Experience in a special educational needs setting.
