A forward-thinking and inclusive two-form entry primary school in Islington is seeking a caring and committed KS2 SEND Teaching Assistant to join their experienced support team. This is a full-time position, starting as soon as possible and continuing into the 2025-26 academic year.

?? The Role - KS2 SEND Teaching Assistant
As a KS2 SEND TA, you will be supporting children in Key Stage 2 who have a range of additional needs including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language Difficulties, and Global Developmental Delay. You will work one-to-one and within small groups to help pupils access learning, manage behaviour positively, and build confidence and independence.

This role is perfect for a teaching assistant who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about ensuring all learners can succeed, regardless of their barriers.

? The Ideal KS2 SEND TA Will:

• Have prior experience supporting children with SEND, ideally in Key Stage 2
• Be confident adapting tasks and routines to suit individual learning needs
• Demonstrate patience, resilience, and a calm approach to behaviour
• Understand how to support pupils with ASD, ADHD, and language difficulties
• Work well as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside teachers, SENCOs, and therapists
• Be committed to promoting inclusion and ensuring each pupil makes meaningful progress
