SEND EYFS Teaching Assistant - Shoreham
Location: Shoreham
Hours: Full time (Monday - Friday)
Start Date: September 2025

We are seeking a Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a reception-aged child with Cerebral Palsy who requires personal care. This is a rewarding opportunity to be a key figure in a child's early development journey, supporting both their learning and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for a child with complex learning and medical needs
• Assist with personal care, including toileting and hygiene routines, with dignity and respect
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to deliver a tailored learning plan
• Support the child in accessing learning activities, communication systems, and sensory-based tasks
• Contribute to a safe, positive and stimulating EYFS environment
• Communicate effectively with parents/carers and the wider support team

Requirements

• Has experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in an Early Years setting
• Is confident with administering providing personal care
• Has excellent communication skills and a nurturing approach
• Can work collaboratively as part of a supportive team
• Holds an appropriate TA qualification or relevant childcare/SEN experience
