SEND Team Manager

As our SEND Team Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the coordination and delivery of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) across the 0-25 age range. You'll oversee a dedicated team of SEND Officers and support staff, ensuring compliance with legislation while securing the best outcomes for children and young people with SEND.

• Lead, motivate, and support a team in delivering high-quality EHCPs that reflect the needs and aspirations of children and young people.

• Drive forward improvement plans and contribute to the development of robust SEND services.

• Provide expert advice to schools, colleges, parents, and professionals.

• Chair multi-agency decision-making panels, mediation sessions, and tribunals.

• Champion a person-centred approach, ensuring children's voices are at the heart of planning and delivery.

• Manage SEND data systems, tracking outcomes and supporting continuous service improvement.

• Collaborate across services to ensure effective placements and transitions-especially in preparing for adulthood.

• Ensure statutory timescales are met and EHCP quality is consistently high.

• Contribute to inspection readiness, professional training delivery, and service transformation.

You'll bring:

• Proven experience of managing SEND processes in an education, health, or local authority setting.

• Strong leadership and team management skills with a commitment to high standards.

• A deep understanding of the Children and Families Act, SEND Code of Practice, and related statutory frameworks.

• Confidence in decision-making, data analysis, and multi-agency working.
