SEND Tribunal and Mediation Officer

We are working with Swindon Borough Council who are seeking an experienced SEND Tribunal and Mediation Officer to join their dynamic and highly skilled SEND service due to an increase in their service demand.

Location: Swindon Borough Council

Set-up: Hybrid – Ideally 1-2 days per week (fully remote accepted open to discussion)

Rate: £64.20/day via umbrella inside IR35

Duration: Initially6-months

Hours: Full-time position

Responsibilities include:

• Manage a caseload of mediations and tribunals
• Manage the casework, gather evidence, support and prepare witnesses and witness statements
• Submit relevant paperwork to the Tribunal Service and represent the Local Authority at mediation and Tribunal

Requirements:

• Local government experience required for initial shortlisting, then thereafter at the clients discretion
• Significant experience of managing mediation and tribunals
• Enhanced DBS
