Senior Administrator - Regulatory Support
Manchester (Hybrid - Some Office-Based Work Required)

Hourly Rate: £16.97 - £21.66
Are you a highly organised and detail-focused professional with experience supporting regulatory or investigative teams? We’re seeking a Senior Administrator to provide essential administrative and coordination support within a dynamic public sector team.
You’ll be working in a bright, modern Manchester-based office alongside like-minded colleagues, contributing to meaningful work that supports regulatory oversight and public interest. Some public sector experience would be highly beneficial, especially in regulated or operational environments such as transport.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Regulatory Operations:
Monitor progress against deadlines, liaise with staff and applicants, gather required documents, and flag delays to inspection managers.
Assist with Investigations:
Carry out initial enquiries, maintain organised digital folders for case materials, and ensure documents are stored using agreed standards.
Coordinate Meetings:
Schedule and prepare materials for review meetings, working closely with stakeholders and investigation leads.
Facilitate Site Visits and Liaison:
Arrange visits with dutyholders, compile and store evidence, and follow up on required post-visit documentation.
Manage Information Systems:
Provide support with case and document management systems, ensuring accuracy and consistency across files and folders.
Prepare Reports and Updates:
Contribute to management meeting materials, monthly reporting, and tracking of team activities.
Administrative Support:
Handle printing, scanning, and correspondence tasks, ensuring smooth day-to-day office function.
About You:
Strong organisational and time management skills; capable of juggling multiple priorities.
Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience handling sensitive information with accuracy and confidentiality.
Confident using office software (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook) and case management systems.
A collaborative team player who thrives in a supportive, structured environment.
Prior experience in the public sector or transport-related environments is highly desirable.
Additional Information:
This is a 6-month temporary contract.
Candidates must be based near Manchester due to the requirement for some office-based work.
