Job Description - Senior Business Support Officer

Senior Business Support Officer
  • Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour PAYE
  • Location: Oldham Council, OL1 1HD
  • Job Type: Full-time, 3-month contract
  • Working Hours: 8:40am till 5pm

Oldham Council is seeking a proactive Senior Business Support Officer to support the administrative functions of the Adults Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub. This role is essential for ensuring efficient operations within the hub, providing vital support to the team through various administrative tasks.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Load contacts onto the Mosaic system to maintain up-to-date records.
  • Take minutes during Safeguarding meetings to ensure all discussions are documented accurately.
  • Support the team by answering calls, providing information, and redirecting queries as necessary.
  • Arrange meetings, including scheduling, sending reminders, and preparing meeting spaces.
  • Assist with day-to-day administrative activities to support the smooth operation of the hub.
  • Collect and sort post, ensuring all correspondence is distributed to the appropriate team members.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in administrative roles, preferably within a safeguarding or social care setting.
  • Proficient in using IT systems, including Mosaic or similar databases.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Experience in minute-taking and meeting arrangement.
  • Must possess a valid Enhanced DBS certificate.
