We’re working with a forward-thinking London borough to recruit a Senior Estates Surveyor to deliver a comprehensive estates management service across a diverse commercial property and land portfolio. This is a high-impact role focused on ensuring long-term asset value, maximising income, and supporting strategic regeneration and development opportunities across the Council's estate.

Key Responsibilities of the Interim Senior Estates Surveyor:

• Manage a portfolio of commercial properties including shops, offices, and industrial premises
• Undertake lease negotiations, rent reviews, renewals, consents, licences, and disposals
• Support income generation, estate optimisation, and commercial strategy delivery
• Represent the Council in multi-disciplinary project groups and public engagement forums
• Provide valuations for a variety of purposes including Right to Buy, appropriations, and asset reviews
• Contribute to asset valuations, service charge budgets, and procurement of consultants
• Support the resolution of property disputes, including dilapidations and unauthorised use
• Advise Members and senior officers, and contribute to Cabinet reports and briefings

Skills, experience and knowledge required of the Interim Senior Estates Surveyor:

• Demonstrable experience in commercial property management and landlord and tenant law
• Strong case management skills with the ability to lead on complex property negotiations
• Experience working within a public sector estates team or similar complex organisation
