Senior Finance Officer

• Job Type: Full-time, Hybrid (3 days in office)
• Location: Rochdale
• Salary: £18.26 per hour PAYE
• Length of role: Initial 6 months

We are seeking a Senior Finance Officer Systems to join our team. This role involves supporting the Systems Senior Accountant and Head of Corporate Finance in providing financial and system support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance systems, an AAT qualification, and a passion for improving processes through automation and training.

• Support the development, testing, and delivery of processes for all systems supported by the Systems Team.
• Ensure the delivery of core functions through automation and streamlining of processes, maximising the use of available resources.
• Train and equip staff within Finance Services and other Directorates to fulfil their financial responsibilities.
• Provide robust, reliable business reporting in a user-friendly format to meet the needs of the business.
• Own the configuration, maintenance, support, and continuous improvement of our Finance System in line with our objectives.

• Good knowledge of financial systems.
• AAT qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in developing and maintaining financial systems.
• Strong ability to perform reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial ledgers.
• Ability to train and support staff in financial responsibilities.
