Senior Indirect tax manager - Contract 6 months - £100k

An exciting opportunity for an experienced indirect tax professional to join the Finance Team for a global FTSE listed group. The role is Indirect Taxes focused and therefore you will need to demonstrate extensive tax knowledge and be highly conversant with all HMRC VAT, Excise & Customs Laws/Rules however there will be the requirement to have some oversight of direct taxation processes. You will pro-actively lead on all VAT tax matters that affect the company and ensure best practice and timeliness is implemented across all tax related issues

Specific responsibilities also include:

• Preparation and review of the taxation returns, including VAT, excise duty, climate change levy and any ad hoc returns such as stamp duty land tax and withholding tax.
• Provide advice to the business on the tax impact of business transactions (actual and potential) and take the lead in implementing and managing any requirements to ensure full tax compliance and tax efficiency.
• Build and maintain relationships with the business to raise the profile of tax and ensure that tax implications are considered at an early stage for any transaction.
• Liaise with external advisers for the provision of tax advice, as required.
