Our client, Slough Council is looking for a Senior Lead to join their Improvement and Recovery department.
Main purpose of Job:Before then we do not want to lose momentum, and so we need to create an interim 3 month role to oversee:
Interim direction to the Improvement and Recovery Programme, working closely with the PMO lead:
Interim direction of the established Corporate Planning and Budget setting programme ensuring that key activities take place between June and September to iteratively agree and implement a strategy to meet the budget gap.
Work with Improvement and Recovery Programme Management Office to develop handover for new Head of Service, diagnosing issues and providing consistent briefings and assessment of key priority issues
Specific responsibilitiesInterim senior leadership to cover and then support transition to roles at Head of Service level.
To work across two high-influence teams that oversee the delivery of corporate cross cutting programmes of change and transformation and PMO support. They will lead on the delivery of the recovery and improvement plan, ensuring this leads to impactful and sustained delivery that means the Council can become and sustain being a Best Value council that leaves a lasting legacy of improvement and continuous learning. This will require a relentless focus on realising benefits through direct programme delivery and PMO support.
