Senior Payroll Administrator

Elevation Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working with a leading organisation as they seek to appoint a Senior Payroll Administrator for a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and collaborative team, supporting the business through a key period of change and development.

We are looking for a knowledgeable and adaptable payroll professional who can hit the ground running, offer support to colleagues, and drive continuous improvement across payroll processes.

• Assist the Payroll Team Leader in ensuring key payroll tasks and deadlines are met
• Act as a knowledge-sharing partner, providing support and training to team members
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of PAYE, NI, statutory payments, and pensions legislation
• Act as a point of contact for escalations and queries from managers and employees
• Review existing processes and support improvements for operational efficiency
• Take full ownership of end-to-end monthly payroll processing in line with payroll schedules

• Minimum 2 years of payroll experience, ideally in a retail or manufacturing environment
• Experience supporting new system implementations or technology changes
• Proficient in Microsoft and G Suite applications
• Ideally experienced in MHR iTrent and IRIS Cascade
• Experience in functionality testing and team training is highly desirable

• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
• High attention to detail and accuracy with strong analytical capabilities
• Effective time management and the ability to meet strict deadlines under pressure
• Self-motivated, flexible and well-organised
• Strong sense of integrity and the ability to manage confidential information appropriately
