Senior Performance Officer

Contract Type: Interim (6 months)

Hays is currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Performance Officer to join the Highways Maintenance Team at a local council. This interim role has been created due to team growth and will initially be offered on a 6-month contract.
As a Senior Performance Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the management of the Highway Maintenance and Management Services. Your work will directly influence contract compliance, performance monitoring, and service delivery improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide performance and management information to support the delivery of highway maintenance services.
• Analyse service provider performance to inform management decisions and contract mechanisms.
• Support day-to-day contract management through performance analysis related to provider payments.
• Monitor and report on contract compliance, performance data, and audit findings.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address service provider underperformance or non-compliance.
• Ensure IT, data, and administrative systems are in place and maintained to support contract management.

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience in performance analysis or contract management, ideally within highways or public infrastructure.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret complex data and present actionable insights.
• Experience working with service providers and managing performance-related issues.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
