Senior Planner

Attention all Senior Planner’s!

We are looking for a skilled Senior Planner to join a global engineering and construction firm, in a long-term contract role, outside IR35. You will be required to attend our client’s office in Glasgow, at a minimum of 3 days a week.

This is a great opportunity to work on an exciting range of power transmission and distribution projects, with an experienced team.

-Competitive day rate ranging from £450 to £550 (depending on experience).

-Hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

-Develop and manage schedules for UK HV substation projects, including tender and design phases.

-Deliver project control services: scheduling, prioritisation, reporting, and earned value management.

-Interpret drawings, use critical path methods, assess delays and changes, and support risk management.

-Understand client needs, provide tailored solutions, and maintain strong communication.

-Work with internal/external teams, contribute to industry groups, and uphold safety and environmental standards.

What we are looking for:

-Relevant degree level qualification.

-Extensive experience as a Planner, within the power transmission and distribution industry, as well as experience within the HV sector.

-Skilled in creating National Grid schedules (NGET TP 193).

-Strong communication skills.

-CSCS card is essential.

-Knowledge of Primavera P6, MSP and other systems.
