Contract Length: 6 months

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Portfolio PMO Trading to join a leading investment banking organisation on a 6-month contract. This role sits within the Trading function and will play a key part in supporting and driving the successful delivery of multiple complex change initiatives across the trading portfolio.

A strong understanding of derivatives, ETD futures and options, trade lifecycle processes, and associated trading and clearing systems is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support portfolio-level project planning activities including roadmap development, milestone tracking, dependency mapping, and burn-down reporting across Trading initiatives
  2. Support budgeting, forecasting, and resource tracking across the Trading portfolio, identifying anomalies and working with stakeholders to resolve issues
  3. Maintain and manage RAID logs across all Trading initiatives.
  4. Coordinate inputs from Agile delivery teams to support portfolio reporting, dashboards, and governance packs using Jira and Confluence
  5. Ensure consistent and structured use of Jira and Confluence across all Trading initiatives.
  6. Work closely with solution design and architecture teams to ensure full traceability of scope, requirements, and delivery plans
  7. Support governance forums with high-quality reporting outputs and analysis

Key Requirements

  1. Proven experience in a Portfolio/Programme PMO role within an investment banking or trading environment (essential)
  2. Strong understanding of exchange-traded markets, derivatives, ETD futures & options, and trade lifecycle processes (essential)
  3. Experience supporting complex, large-scale programmes or multiple concurrent projects
  4. Strong understanding of programme governance, reporting, risk and issue management frameworks
  5. Experience in financial tracking, forecasting, and resource allocation within change delivery
  6. Advanced MS Excel skills with strong capability in data collation, analysis, and reporting
  7. Excellent proficiency in PowerPoint for executive-level reporting and presentations
  8. Strong working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, MS Project, SharePoint, Teams, and MS Office suite
  9. Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies
  10. Knowledge of commodities trading, clearing operations, and regulatory environments is essential
  11. Understanding of operational resilience principles and regulatory frameworks (desirable)
