Senior Tax Specialist - Interim, 3 -6 months

£300 - £400 per day

Are you an experienced indirect tax professional looking for a dynamic role in a fast-paced, international environment? Our client, a leading global real estate business, is seeking a skilled EMEA Indirect Tax Specialist to take ownership of VAT-related matters across the region.

As the primary point of contact for all indirect tax issues across EMEA, you will work closely with various internal teams to ensure VAT compliance, risk management, and process improvements. You will also liaise with tax authorities, external advisors, and key stakeholders to support audits and inquiries.

• Acting as the main advisor for all indirect tax matters across EMEA

• Providing clear and concise VAT risk assessments to non-tax stakeholders

• Managing VAT audits and inquiries, including direct communication with tax officers and external consultants

• Collaborating with commercial, finance, legal, and operational teams to enhance tax compliance and efficiency

• Overseeing VAT treatment for intercompany transactions and ensuring accuracy in billing

• Driving VAT process improvements

• Supporting VAT reconciliation processes, ensuring compliance and reporting accuracy.

• Managing CIS compliance

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• Strong experience in indirect tax, ideally covering multiple EMEA jurisdictions

• A solid understanding of VAT compliance, reporting, and risk management

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex tax matters to non-tax professionals
