Senior UX/UI Designer

Senior UX/UI Designer (Product Design - Rapid Prototyping & Design Sprints) - Up to £500 a day - 2 month contract - remote

My client is looking for an exceptional Senior UX/UI Designer to join them for an intensive, 2 month short-term engagement focused on rapidly spinning up early-stage product ideas into tangible prototypes through back-to-back design sprints. They need a product designer who thrives in 0-to-1 environments. You'll work largely independently, collaborating directly with the client and developers to bring complex B2B product concepts to life. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute rapid design sprints to validate early-stage product ideas
• Develop high-quality, interactive prototypes in Figma-fast
• Translate abstract product ideas and business needs into clear user experiences
• Communicate design rationale effectively to stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Work closely with developers to ensure feasibility and maintain design integrity
• Own the end-to-end UX/UI process from ideation to prototype
• Represent user needs while balancing business and technical constraints

Requirements:

• Previous experience in UX/UI design, with proven experience in product design (not marketing websites)
• Strong track record of taking products from 0 to 1 in lean, rapid environments
• Deep experience running or contributing to design sprints
• Mastery of Figma for fast, functional prototyping
• Comfortable working autonomously and managing client interactions directly
• B2B product experience is essential
• Fintech or insurance product experience is highly desirable
• Able to align quickly with developers and business stakeholders to iterate and build
• Experience designing for regulated industries (fintech, insurance)
• Understanding of technical constraints and the product development lifecycle
• Ability to facilitate workshops and client discovery sessions
• Collaborative, pragmatic team culture focused on getting real product traction
