Service Charge Accountant

Our client is seeking a Service Charge Accountant to join their dynamic team in Central London on an 8-month fixed term contract. This role offers an attractive salary of £45,000 and the opportunity to work in the heart Central London. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Accounts Payable services for the Group, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and excellent teamwork approach.

Responsibilities:

As a Service Charge Accountant, your primary role will be to provide Accounts Payable services for the Group. You will be responsible for registering and inputting purchase invoices, resolving both internal coding queries and external queries promptly. Your role will also involve liaising with off-site teams, ensuring proper and timely filing of documents, assisting with payment processes, conducting supplier statement reconciliations, and preparing quarterly VAT returns.

1. Provide Accounts Payable services for the Group
2. Register/input purchase invoices and action returned invoices from Agresso Workflow
3. Resolve internal coding queries and ensure external queries are resolved promptly
4. Follow procedures and timetable, liaise with off-site teams
5. Ensure proper and timely filing of documents, assist with the payment processes
6. Conduct supplier statement reconciliations and preparation of quarterly VAT returns

The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate for the Service Charge Accountant position will have prior experience using Agresso Business World (Unit 4), a good understanding of Accounts Payable ledger and payment cycles and systems, as well as experience dealing with both internal and external queries. You should possess good knowledge of Excel. Key competencies include adherence to procedure, reliability, productivity, meticulous attention to detail, good communication skills, ability to use own initiative, excellent teamwork approach, and good multitasking skills.

1. Prior use of Agresso Business World (Unit 4) is advantageous
2. Good knowledge of Accounts Payable ledger and payment cycles and systems
3. Experience at dealing with internal and external queries
4. Good knowledge of Excel
5. Adherence to procedure, reliable and productive
6. Meticulous attention to detail, good communication skills
7. Ability to use own initiative, excellent team work approach
8. Good multitasking skills
