SHEQ Advisor

Location: Essex, UK
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Length: 6 months (with potential for extension)
Day Rate: £325 (Negotiable)
Working Hours: 45 hours/week, Monday to Friday

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced SHEQ Manager to oversee Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality on an AGI (Above Ground Installation) build project in Essex. This is a contract position offering an immediate start and the opportunity to work on a high-profile utilities infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all SHEQ aspects of the AGI build.
• Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and company standards.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Promote a strong safety culture across the site team and subcontractors.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and external stakeholders to ensure SHEQ objectives are met.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a SHEQ role within the gas sector is highly desirable.
• Candidates with utilities sector experience will also be considered.
• Strong knowledge of UK SHEQ regulations and best practices.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Relevant SHEQ qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).
