Swan Valley, Northampton
Monday - Friday
14:00 - 22:00
£16.00 per hour which equates to £31,200 per annum, plus a quarterly bonus.

Our client in Swan Valley has an exciting opportunity, They have recently relocated to a new facility to support the continued growth and ever evolving business.

This is a temporary to permanent position for the right candidate.

A lot of our clients products are heavy, and lifting is a massive part of this role, so must be comfortable doing this.

Shift Supervisor Key Responsibilities:

Overseeing shift operations and ensuring efficient workflow within the warehouse environment
The role supports the entire Warehouse Operative team, ensuring adequate resources are in place to fulfil business demands
Working as part of a team and assisting with duties such as picking and any other duties the warehouse may need.
Operating MHE such as Reach, Counterbalance and PPT.
Responsible for ensuring the pick and pack operation meets agreed SLAs, whilst maintaining accurate inventory records, managing safety, and optimising warehouse processes to always achieve and improve efficiency.
Minimise stock loss by ensuring that put-away and replenishment/bulk movements are completed accurately
Conduct QC checks on inbound and outbound deliveries, upholding the highest standards
Ensure accurate and timely stock replenishment is completed
Foster communication and collaboration among warehouse staff to promote a safer working environment
Ensure that the working environment is safe and well maintained through daily inspections
Conduct regular audits of the racking, fire call points, emergency exits, first aid kits, and warehouse walk-throughs
Ensure that all operatives are issued with and wear appropriate PPE

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required for a Shift Supervisor:

Excellent understanding of logistics operations
FLT and MHE – Counterbalance, Reach and PPT – must be in date licenses,
Good leadership skills, able to lead by example and work as a team
Good communication skills
Ability to prioritise, multi-task, and manage deadlines
Experience of supervising small teams or processes in a logistics environment
Drive to ensure SLA’s and quality targets are met and exceeded.
