Job Description - Shipping Customer Support Coordinator (Maternity Cover)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Shipping Customer Support Coordinator (Maternity Cover) for our client based near Maidstone, Kent. You will working as part of a team of 5 people and be responsible for ensuring customer requirements are satisfied through the Supply Chain process. The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service to existing and new customers and will ensure all orders placed by customers are entered correctly and delivered within the specified lead time where possible. Will aid and upkeep the flow information between Supply Chain and internal/external customers. The main duties will be:

  • Managing execution/administration of Sales Contracts in line with company compliance
  • Complying with internal rule and operating policies.
  • Improving workflow to reduce error and to increase accuracy in contract administration.
  • Booking transport to meet required delivery dates as per contractual terms.
  • Negotiating with logistical service providers to secure transportation at competitive price.
  • Invoicing orders aligned with Sales contract and Company compliances.
  • Preparing shipping documents, including export documentation.
  • Working with operations team to ensure orders are dispatch on time for customer requested delivery dates.
  • Recording OTIF delivery information.
  • Being the point of contact for customers placing orders.
  • Processing urgent order requests.
  • Stock holding management.
  • Processing sample orders and dispatching.
  • Customer MRPs when required.

This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter who can cope with a fast-moving environment as well as a team player who is able to provide and help and support others within the department and organisation. Must also be able to demonstrate skills in order to resolve issues. Good benefits and hybrid after training.

  • Making sure to keep records correctly entered in Access system and update Control reports are in line with shipping documents and final invoices.
  • Ensuring that executions of contracts are aligned with company compliance.
