Site Engineer

Location: Hinkley Point C, Somerset (Site-based) Contract Type: Contract (Inside IR35) Duration: Long-term

The Role: Seeking a motivated Site Engineer to deliver critical civil engineering works on one of the UK's largest new nuclear power station projects. Drive technical execution, quality, and safety on this complex, highly regulated site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Precise Setting Out: Accurately set out all civil works, managing survey equipment for exact levels and lines.
• Technical Execution: Interpret and implement complex engineering drawings, specs, and method statements.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous inspections (pre/post-pour), manage ITPs, and produce LTQRs.
• Safety First: Conduct daily H&S inspections and champion site safety.
• Progress Tracking: Monitor daily work progress and report to senior engineers.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate site records, diaries, and support handover.
• Problem Solve: Assist in resolving site technical queries and issues.
• Temporary Works Support: Understand and implement temporary works designs and procedures.

Requirements:

• Civil Engineering Degree (or equivalent).
• Proven Site Engineer experience on large-scale infrastructure, heavy civils, or complex building projects.
• Experience in RC works, earthworks, or heavy civils highly desirable.
• Proficient in setting out and surveying equipment.
• Strong understanding of site health and safety.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
• CSCS Card essential. SMSTS/SSSTS, First Aid at Work desirable.
• Valid UK driving license.
