Site Engineer

This is an incredible opportunity to contribute to a landmark project, working on complex road realignments, bridgeworks, and other associated structures. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of critical sections of the HS2 line.

What you'll do:

• Setting Out: Accurately set out works in accordance with design drawings and specifications for both road and structural elements.
• Quality Control: Implement and maintain robust quality control procedures, ensuring all work meets the highest standards and project specifications.
• Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support to the site team, resolving any engineering issues that arise.
• Health & Safety: Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring all site activities are carried out safely and in line with regulations.
• Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate site records, including diaries, progress reports, and as-built drawings.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Senior Engineer, Project Manager, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Problem-Solving: Proactively identify potential issues and implement effective solutions to keep the project on track.

What we're looking for:

• A degree or HND in Civil Engineering.
• Proven experience as a Site Engineer on large scale infrastructure projects, with a significant focus on roadworks and structures.
• Demonstrable experience working on or similar major rail/highway projects is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in setting out techniques and equipment
• Strong understanding of construction processes, specifications, and relevant health and safety regulations.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• A valid CSCS card.
• A valid driving license
