Site Supervisor

My client is a Tier 1 Construction and Civil Engineering Company.

They are presently delivering Civils improvement works on the South West Water Framework and are seeking to appoint on a long term contract basis a Site Supervisor to supervise the timely delivery of the works.

Base is Stennack Road, St Austell, Cornwall,

PL25 3SW

Job Details

Monday - Friday

45 hour week

5 days onsite - approx. 100 mile radius and can cover around 6-7 sites at any one time

South West Water contract doing upgrades on water mains network. Also includes planning and installing water meters and bypass pipeworks.

Key responsibility will be ensuring all health and safety policies are adhered to and maintained.

Managing the supply chain and subcontractors - 2-3 teams at any one time.

Auditing and quality checks.

Procuring plant and materials.

Helping with streetworks applications.

White CSCS card or EUSR card required

Qualifications Requirement

· White CSCS card or EUSR card essential

· SSSTS or SMSTS essential

· Water hygiene card essential

· NRSWA supervisor beneficial

· Asbestos awareness beneficial

· Looking at 6 months - 5 years supervisory experience

· Need some knowledge of water industry - at least 6 months working on a water contract

o They will be responsible for health and safety so must understand this

o Knowledge of piping / materials and how water works needed

· Ideally local to the area so they are familiar with the local geography
