•    Job Type: 37.5 hours per week

We are seeking a Skilled Operative to join a housing association based in Huntingdon, focusing on void works to prepare rooms for reletting. This role involves a variety of tasks including painting, floor replacement, rehanging cupboard doors, and other basic carpentry tasks. This position is ideal for someone who is hands-on and enjoys a dynamic work environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

•    Painting rooms to a high standard to ensure they are ready for new tenants.

•    Replacing flooring as needed, ensuring quality and durability.

•    Rehanging and repairing cupboard doors and handling other carpentry-related tasks.

•    Conducting general maintenance and repair tasks efficiently.

•    Ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard to meet reletting requirements.

•    Working independently while also being able to collaborate with a team when necessary.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar role involving maintenance and repairs.
• Skilled in various hand and power tools.
• Ability to handle basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems on the go
• Enhanced DBS check requested + driving licence
