Skilled Streetmason

We are seeking a skilled Street Mason to join our team on a temporary, ongoing basis. This role involves a variety of tasks related to the construction and maintenance of highway and drainage features. The ideal candidate will have experience in laying paving materials and performing general construction and maintenance tasks.

• Undertake construction and maintenance activities for highways and drainage features such as roads, footpaths, and drains to the required specifications.
• Lay natural and pre-cast paving materials such as slabs, kerbs, blocks, and granite setts with precision.
• Perform associated highway construction works including bituminous and concrete carriageway construction and the installation/maintenance of drainage features.
• Engage in general manual/labouring tasks involved in the construction, maintenance, and repair of highways, sewers, and watercourses.
• Perform ‘Banksman’ duties, supervising excavators and vehicles to ensure safe operations.
• Operate powered tools, minor plant, and machines as required.
• Drive, clean, and perform routine maintenance checks (e.g., oil, water, tyres, body checks) on vehicles.

• Proven experience in street masonry or related field.
• Ability to lay paving materials accurately to line and level.
• Experience with highway construction and maintenance tasks.
• Competence in operating construction machinery and performing Banksman duties.
• Valid driving licence and ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance.
• Strong physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour tasks.
