Randstad are delighted to be working alongside a renowned university based in East London. They are recruiting for a Social Media Officer to join their external communications team, on an initial 3 month basis. You will be instrumental in developing bold, engaging, and impactful social media content to drive brand awareness, enhance our client's growing reputation, and continue to reach new audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the social media content calendar, ensuring consistent and compelling content across all platforms.
• Lead on video creation, editing, and photography, producing high-quality visual content.
• Stay current with platform trends, emerging tools, and algorithm changes to boost organic reach and innovation.
• Utilise analytics to assess performance, inform strategy, and continuously improve content output.
• Collaborate with internal colleagues to enhance and align social presence, focusing on creative storytelling.
• Train and support staff in social media best practices, championing consistency and accessibility.
• Encourage and amplify user-generated content to foster an authentic digital community.
• Provide event coverage, capturing live moments with energy and flair.

Skills:

• Experience of creating content across all digital platforms.
• Knowledge of systems such as Canva and Sprout Social.
• Ability to work across multiple campuses within East London.
