Social Partnership Lead Location: Pontypridd (Hybrid Working) Contract Type: Full-time, Fixed-Term Contract (3 Months) Salary: £60,000 Start Date: Immediate
About the Role We are seeking an experienced Social Partnership Led to join a well-established organisation on a 3-month fixed-term contract. This is a critical role requiring someone who can hit the ground running and lead on key stakeholder and trade union engagement activities during a period of strategic change.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with strong knowledge of social partnership working, particularly within unionised environments, and who brings a collaborative, solutions-focused mindset. You will be someone who thrives in fast-paced, complex environments and can confidently take ownership of social partnership activity from day one. You bring a depth of experience in trade union engagement, ideally within the public sector or a similarly structured, highly governed environment. Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary liaison between the organisation and recognised trade unions.
Drive meaningful consultation and engagement aligned with social partnership principles.
Support managers and senior leaders in effectively navigating complex industrial relations matters.
Provide strategic advice and guidance on collective issues, policies, and change programmes.
Foster a positive employee relations climate by ensuring open, transparent, and proactive communication with employee representatives.
Influence and shape the organisation’s approach to partnership working, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and internal policies.
Lead or support negotiations and consultations as required during the contract period.
Essential Skills & Experience
Proven track record of working with trade unions in a senior HR, ER, or partnership role.
Strong understanding of UK employment law and collective bargaining frameworks.
Experience managing high-level employee relations issues and organisational change.
Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust quickly.
Confident working autonomously and managing multiple stakeholders.
Available to start immediately and commit to a 3-month contract.
