Are you an inspiring Social Sciences teacher ready for a new challenge this September? Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with an established and well-regarded Ofsted-rated 'Good' secondary school in Swindon, looking to appoint a Social Sciences Teacher for the 2025-2026 academic year.
This is a long-term temporary role starting in September 2025, running until July 2026, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The school welcomes applications from both experienced teachers and ECTs, and is open to full-time or part-time (3-4 days per week) working patterns.
Key Role Details:
* Start Date: September 2025
* Contract Type: Long-term (with permanent potential)
* Location: Swindon
* Subjects: Sociology, Psychology, and/or Health & Social Care (KS4/KS5 depending on experience)
* Pay: From £150/day (ECT), with scaling based on experience
* Schedule: Full-time preferred, part-time considered

Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualification (or be a qualified FE lecturer with school experience)
* Have experience teaching Social Sciences at GCSE and/or A-Level
* Be passionate about promoting critical thinking and independent learning
* Bring strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
* Be committed to safeguarding and inclusive education
* Engage well with students from a range of backgrounds
