Position: Social Worker - Adults
Location: Lancashire County Council

Lancashire County Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our Adults Social Care team. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional with a strong background in adult services and a sound understanding of local authority processes.

About the Role:
You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment, supporting adults with a range of complex needs. The successful candidate will have experience completing key tasks outlined in the job specification, including assessments, support planning, safeguarding, and partnership working. The role may involve some Court of Protection work, so familiarity with legal frameworks and capacity assessments is an advantage.

Key Requirements:

• Qualified and registered Social Worker (Social Work England)
• Ideally has previous experience working within Lancashire County Council
• Strong working knowledge of the LBLIL process and Liquidlogic Adults System (LAS)
• Confident in managing complex cases independently
• Understanding of relevant legislation and policies including the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding procedures
• Effective communicator with strong report writing and decision-making skills
