Social Worker & Registered Mental Health Nurse RMN - Dual Diagnosis

Band: 6-7
Rate: £30.29 - £31.02 per hour
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM
Contract Duration: 3-6 months ongoing
Start Date: ASAP - 4 weeks

We are seeking experienced Social Workers and Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMNs) to join a specialist Dual Diagnosis Team working within community mental health services across Essex. This role involves collaborating with the Essex Drug and Alcohol Partnership to provide integrated support for individuals with co-existing mental health and substance misuse challenges.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting joint assessments with Crisis Teams, Community Mental Health Services, and third-sector agencies.
• Providing specialist interventions for individuals with complex mental health and substance misuse needs.
• Engaging in multi-agency collaboration to ensure seamless service provision.
• Supporting whole-family working approaches and engaging with service users in non-stigmatising environments.
• Acting as a key liaison with Essex County Council, Police, HM Prisons, and other agencies.
• RMNs will be responsible for delivering evidence-based mental health interventions, while Social Workers may also undertake AMHP duties and contribute to Quality Assurance Forums.

To be considered for this role, you must have:
?? Social Workers: Valid Social Work England registration and experience in mental health and/or substance misuse services.
?? RMNs: Active NMC registration with experience in dual diagnosis, crisis intervention, or community mental health.
?? AMHP qualification (preferred for Social Workers).
?? Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams.
?? A non-judgmental approach with excellent communication and engagement skills.
