An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Social Worker to join one of our Children In Our Care teams at Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council.

We are looking for a confident and experienced practitioner who is committed to providing high-quality social work to children and young people who are looked after and living in a range of settings including foster care, residential homes, or family and friends arrangements.

About the Role

As a Children’s Social Worker, you will:

• Hold and manage a caseload of looked after children, building strong, trusting relationships.
• Work directly with children, their families, carers, and multi-agency partners to promote the best outcomes.
• Complete thorough assessments, develop and review care plans, and support placements that meet the needs of vulnerable children.
• Be a champion for the voice of the child, ensuring their views and experiences shape the services and support they receive.
• Collaborate with professionals across health, education and the voluntary sector to deliver a truly child-centred approach.

About You

We are seeking a qualified Social Worker who is:

• Experienced in working with looked after children and care proceedings.
• Passionate about supporting vulnerable children and helping them to thrive.
• Skilled in relationship-building, assessment, planning, and decision-making.
• Able to work collaboratively and flexibly as part of a dedicated team.
