Social Worker - Learning Disabilities Team (Rotherham)

Make a positive difference in the lives of adults with learning disabilities.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our thriving Learning Disabilities Team in Rotherham. This is a rewarding opportunity to support adults with learning disabilities to live fulfilling and independent lives.

About the Role:

  • Conduct thorough needs assessments and develop person-centered care plans for adults with learning disabilities.
  • Provide direct support and guidance to individuals and their families, promoting independence and well-being.
  • Collaborate with multi-agency partners (health professionals, housing providers, support organizations) to coordinate care and resources.
  • Advocate for the rights and needs of adults with learning disabilities, ensuring access to appropriate services and support.
  • Manage a caseload effectively, prioritizing urgent cases and adhering to statutory timescales.
  • Contribute to a supportive and collaborative team environment focused on continuous improvement.



Requirements:

  • Registered with Social Care England.
  • Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience as a qualified Social Worker. Experience working with adults with learning disabilities is highly desirable.
  • Excellent assessment, communication, and case management skills.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation and policies relating to learning disabilities.
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with individuals with learning disabilities and their families.
  • Commitment to person-centered practice and ethical standards.
